How Difficult is Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra?

The Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra is generally considered to be of easy difficulty. Here are the main reasons:

Historically, the trek was challenging due to the absence of proper roads. Nowadays, jeep services cover most of the journey, making it much easier for seniors and those with lower fitness levels. The remaining trek involves a short 4 km hike from Jolingkong (Adi Kailash Base Camp) to Parvati Kund and back.

Despite the improvements, some challenges remain. The trail includes steep ascents and descents and can be rough and unpaved. At Jolingkong (Adi Kailash Base Camp), you will be at an altitude of 4,572 meters (15,000 feet), and at Nabhidhang (Om Parvat Base Camp), the altitude is 4,300 meters (14,107 feet). These high elevations can cause altitude sickness, making even simple walking strenuous, especially for older participants.
